Current Job Openings – Business Development Consultant

CWP is a fast-growth, values-driven publishing company with vertically integrated print and consulting divisions. CWP are seeking an exceptional individual to join our rapidly growing team as a Business Development Consultant.

This is a key role and will report directly to the Sales Director. The role is very much client facing so you will need to have excellent communication skills and conduct yourself in an assured and professional manner, with the confidence and knowledge to develop new business relationships at the C-Suite level. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial attitude to defining a growth role and be interested in making a genuine impact on a rapidly scaling organisation.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business;
  • Gathering market and customer information
  • Acting as a contact between the company and potential markets;
  • Presenting to potential customers and prospecting for new business
  • Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy;
  • Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers;
  • Recording sales and order information
  • Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets;
  • Gaining a clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements;
  • Feeding future buying trends back to Senior Managers;
