Published with the Not Forgotten Association, one of the oldest charities which supports UK service personnel, A Commemorative Guide to WWI and WWII looks at arguably the most devastating period of human history.

The First World War section features the Battle of Gallipoli, including the lead up to the Battle of Gallipoli, an analysis of the Gallipoli campaign and how the Battle led to a political crisis in London and the War Council’s decision to end the campaign.

The Second World War section features the Battle of Britain, including the lead up to the Battle of Britain, analysis of the Battle and how the German air force’s failure to gain air superiority over the RAF was a crucial turning point in the Second World War.

We also commemorate the end of WW2 with a focus on the VE Day celebrations, including Churchill’s famous radio broadcast and impromptu speech on the balcony of the Ministry of Health, plus what happened in the aftermath of VE Day.
